The Surgery has an established Patient Participation Group (PPG). We want to hear from our Patients and Carers, about your experiences of the surgery and your ideas for improvement and change.
Learning for patients and the public (accredited courses)
Who is it for? Patients and members of the public who want to find out more about the health system and how they can get involved in shaping it.
Type of learning: Workshop materials to run local workshops.
Course dates: Can be held at a time to suit you.
How to apply: Download the workshop resources and run the workshop yourself for free, or contact South East Commissioning Support Unit about a facilitated session.
Understanding the Health and Social Care Environment (UHSCE)
Who is it for? NHS volunteers who have an interest in understanding the health and social care environment and/or with responsibility for improving the health of communities.
Course objectives: By the end of the course participants will be able to recognise the key stakeholders in the health and social care environment and understand how to influence them. Participants will be able to use appropriate tools and methods to influence health and social care.
The PPG will meet with surgery staff every 6 – 8 weeks – usually on a Saturday morning.
If you are interested in joining the group or would like to know more please see the contact details below.
Hangleton and Knoll Health Forum
We also participate in the Hangleton and Knoll Health Forum at St Richards Church. Patients will be very welcome at both the PPG meetings and the H&K Forums.
This is for people who would prefer to contribute via email rather than attend 'face to face' meetings. Our 'online' Patient Reference Group will enable patients to participate in consultation and discussion in order to improve patient experience.
If you are interested in joining the PRG or would like to know more please see the contact details below.
