Patient Participation Group

The Surgery has an established Patient Participation Group (PPG). We want to hear from our Patients and Carers, about your experiences of the surgery and your ideas for improvement and change.

Empowering Citizens and Patients to Participate

Learning for patients and the public (accredited courses)

Who is it for? Patients and members of the public who want to find out more about the health system and how they can get involved in shaping it.

Type of learning: Workshop materials to run local workshops.

Course dates: Can be held at a time to suit you.

Understanding the Health and Social Care Environment (UHSCE)

Who is it for? NHS volunteers who have an interest in understanding the health and social care environment and/or with responsibility for improving the health of communities.

Course objectives: By the end of the course participants will be able to recognise the key stakeholders in the health and social care environment and understand how to influence them. Participants will be able to use appropriate tools and methods to influence health and social care.

The Patient Participation Group (PPG)

The PPG will meet with surgery staff every 6 – 8  weeks – usually on a Saturday morning.

Hangleton and Knoll Health Forum

We also participate in the Hangleton and Knoll Health Forum at St Richards Church. Patients will be very welcome at both the PPG meetings and the H&K Forums.

Our 'Online' Patient Reference Group (PRG)

This is for people who would prefer to contribute via email rather than  attend 'face to face' meetings. Our 'online' Patient Reference Group will enable patients to participate in consultation and discussion in order to improve patient experience.
