Here is the guidance for all ADHD and Autism Referrals and the Services for people seeking assessment (and related care) for Autism Spectrum Condition(ASC) and Attention deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in Sussex are provided by four local NHS providers and a range of independent sector providers with NHS contracts under the national NHS Right to Choose (RTC) Framework.
If an NHS GP deems a ADHD referral is appropriate then a patient can be referred for an assessment under the Right To Choose Framework. C- if not then patient should be offered a GP appointment for an ADHD or ASC referral assessment and then given opportunity for a referral to RTC provider if appropriate. The practice cannot take on SCA with providers who are not on the RTC list. See page 3 of the document linked below to check.
